I JOINED PASSED RECORDINGS!

Whoa! A few months back, I joined a Discord server called Ambient Soundscapes, run by Passed Recordings - I had seen one of their members (the indelible Chris Hobbs) post the 2023 Passed Recordings sample challenge compilation, Monument, in a Facebook group and at the bottom of the Bandcamp page there was a link to their Discord server. I thought, why not? And clicked the link. (Another group I'm in had recently made the switch to Discord so it seemed like an easy thing to do.) After hanging around for a few months, making new friends, participating in the community of musicians, artists, and lovers of ambient music, the label asked me to join. There are many talented musicians on the label - Exit Chamber, Ed Herbers, Chris Hobbs, passengers, Take Me There, Fervorvore, Conno, YAROSLAVA!, Christian Schwöbel, G!GA LURGH, Cavern Cult, Tari Vega, Unruly Disturbance (aka My Favorite Blade of Grass), Virga Drought, and a____ne - so it was an easy, "Hell yeah!" Not to mention a host of other talented folks making all kinds of glorious noise on the server). 2024 is starting off right! Passed Recordings: www.passedrecordings.com

I'm thrilled, humbled, honored, scared, and a host of other emotions! I didn't set out to find a label (I even thought that after nearly four years of making music I might not ever find one that was a good fit), but Passed Recordings feels like an amazing home base of creative and supportive people - always sharing, massively talented - a collective community.
