At Passed Recordings, we often discuss how to make the most of compilations - for us, they represent a true community building activity and an opportunity to showcase the creations of not only the official roster of Passed Recordings artists, but also the wonderfully talented members of our Ambient Soundscapes Discord server.
This year has been chock full of awesome ideas - Passed Love (for Valentine's Day), Passed Summer (our largest compilation to date), and now, Nosferatu - An Ambient Rescore!
Lovingly referred to by members as "Nossy" and finished just in time for Halloween, this compilation proved so popular we had to make two full versions: Vampyres and Deathship.
Participants were given a scene to score from the 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror. While there is an original score (composed by Hans Erdmann), most of it has sadly been lost. Over time, there have been attempts to restore it and various completely new reimaginings as well. It's our turn now! Nosferatu - An Ambient Rescore: Vampyres

In addition to contributing tracks to each (and on Deathship it's my first ever collaborative track, with my friend and fellow Passed Recordings artist Christian Schwöbel), yours truly made the YouTube title screens above as well as the covers for the respective albums.
While these new soundtracks are great for Halloween, they are quite strong enough to be appropriate for any time you might want a little vampire horror in your life.
